Our Amrit Bhawan set up allows for interactions that are personal. The three-storeyed house is accessible by elevator and includes an atmospheric dining area, a library, and a lounge with board games. The private garden dotted with mango trees has a yoga deck and a massage room overlooking the river. The ghat with its stone platforms is ideal for a dip and for those who prefer warmer waters, a hot tub on the terrace awaits. The tariffs are generally inclusive of breakfast, teatime snacks and a meal (lunch or dinner). Also available is a small à la carte menu. Our welcoming staff is happy to assist with anything. At Amrit Bhawan, our kitchen is inspired by the local Garhwali cuisine for its warm, hearty and nourishing food. We are delighted to share some of it with you! \

Naashta by Amrit Bhawan is an effort to popularise nutritious, ‘desi’ recipes made using local ingredients, with a contemporary twist. Panjiri: An energy-boosting mix of grain flour, dry fruits and spices roasted in desi ghee, typically eaten in the winter, by itself as a snack. Our panjiri granolas are a contemporary take on the original, perfect as a breakfast cereal or as a healthy dessert. Situated on the edge of Kankhal, the quieter, southern part of modern-day Haridwar filled with ashrams, Amrit Bhawan is an oasis of calm.

Apart from finding mention in the Mahabharata, Kanakhala is fabled to be the land where an angry Lord Shiva slayed Daksh to avenge the death of his wife, Sati. The Daksheshwar Mahadev Temple marks this event and is located in the heart of Kankhal, a short 7 minute drive from the property, as are Har ki Pauri and the railway station. Between the serenity of its riverside location and its proximity to the bustle of Haridwar's famous sights, Amrit Bhawan is the ideal place to be and allows guests to experience Haridwar in a unique way.

Haridwar is well-connected by road, rail and air to all parts of the country. Drive | A scenic 4.5 hour (200km) drive from Delhi NCR and Chandigarh. Rail | Haridwar Junction is around 2km away (7 minutes by car) with multiple daily trains Air | Jolly Grant Airport is approximately 38km away (1 hour by car), serving as the common airport for Dehradun, Rishikesh & Haridwar. One can easily get around by using e-rickshaws which the team can call on request.
