Legend has it that Narayan Rao Peshwa, the young prince, was tragically stabbed to death by a masked person claimed to be a courtier. The cries of the Peshwa, calling for help, saying ‘Kaka mala vachva’ or ‘Uncle, save me!’ can be heard till date on every full moon night. The story of the ghost at Lady Halima Begum Urdu Primary School is that students saw an egg-shaped ghost, white in colour, with red eyes were coming out of a blackboard. This led to panic and an almost instantaneous emptying of the school. Different students also reported incidents where they found notes like ‘You will die soon’ written on their notebooks. One of the students also reported that he fainted in the school for no apparent reason!
Holkar Bridge
