Rotary Dolls Museum - Children's Museum Rajkot

 

The Rotary Dolls Museum is located in the city of Rajkot, State of Gujarat, India. This unique Museum gives an overview to the culture and traditions of the world at large through a medium of dolls. The Rotary Clubs across the world have generously donated these Dolls to the Rotary Club of Rajkot Midtown. This vision was conceived in 2001 by the Rotarian Mr. Deepak Agrawal. While the vision has been to create a Dolls Museum where children and adults both gain from the mission. The Museum has been yet noble for Love, Care and Concern for Humanity.

 

 

 

The Rotary Doll Museum effectively have brought the world under one roof in this Museum with more than 1600+ ethnic and traditional dolls from over 102 countries across the globe. The dolls are showcased with window dressing replicating the place from where it hails. This is a gesture of loving care for the dolls in the city of Rajkot. Each doll in the museum unique as they tell tales of different traditions and cultures around the world. Rotary Dolls Museum is the best place for children to visit as it is a fun way to gain knowledge.

 

 

 

The Rotary Dolls Museum houses maintains permanent archives of historical documents related to dolls for the study and enjoyment of members and the viewing public. The museum also exhibits husk dolls, glove puppets, string puppets and designer dolls. Rotary Dolls Museum also displays information about the country, its national anthem, history and culture from where the doll has been brought. The museum also sports a library and a gift shop so that the tourists can have a souvenir from their trip. Rotary Dolls Museum also showcases a Cinematheque which plays movies and documentaries created by Discovery Channel, National Geographic Channel, Britannica and many more. The Museum supports various creative activities for children and helps adults with information on various countries, different languages and business prospects abroad.

Entry Fee: INR 25 for adults INR 15 for children above 5 years INR 35 for camera.
